Alex Burns’ solo show brings together the broad repertoire of American string styles where blues meets early jazz.

Glasgow-born Alex Burns has graced stages including Australia’s biggest blues festival Blues Fest in Byron Bay, Brisbane’s steel guitar festival, and the famous Edinburgh Festival, as well as playing extensively around Melbourne’s folk and blues clubs since 1973. Initially drawn to soul, R&B, reggae and the blues, his style has expanded over the years to include jazz, Hawaiian, and even Calypso, and he has released many critically acclaimed albums including three with Nick Charles.
